how has your understanding of real media conventions developed over your a-level media studies?
Essay Structure
Intro explaining what conventions are and how they are important in producing a quality media product, what are macro and micro elements
thriller: what are the thriller conventions, how are they evident in the thriller product,
opening sequence: conventions of crime caper, was it successful
music video: Genres and Genre conventions in the music industry, the Indie genre, the conventions of the indie genre, how we used them in our video
conclude saying whether i thought the conventions worked.

1. How has your understanding of real media conventions developed over your A-level media studies?


Intro- A full understanding of the conventions of real media products is very important to the quality of your media end product. It allows the product to be more authentic and give it a real edge.

Structure-
Thriller:
Genre conventions: We were shown how to use these conventions to the best of our ability and what we needed to include in order to make it fir into that genre.
Micro-elements: We learned how to use the micro elements within our product to ensure the authenticity of our thriller project.
The sequence centers around a crime e.g. break in: Our sequence is centered around a woman character who enters the house however suspence is created when we see the male character enter the room again.

Opening Sequence-
We expanded our knowledge of the micro-elements and we also

We learnt how to lip synch and how to apply the skills to our own project
